San Frediano.
If you have some time to spend after visiting museums and shops, we recommend you to have a walk in the San Frediano area. During working hours (Mon.-Fri. 8:30-12:30 and 3:30pm-6:00pm) you will see many artisans workshops along the medieval streets that surrounds Piazza Santo Spirito and Piazza del Carmine. You will see the artisans working on Silver, restauring furniture and paintings, or making fine frames. It is the cultural background of Florence where the Renaissance art born, and where you can still admire the patience and love of the artisan for his job.
